I can’t think of any place I’d rather spend my summer, than on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Families from all over the world come to vacation and enjoy our beautiful beaches, our lush green landscape, our fabulous restaurants, the wildlife, golf, bicycling or just relaxing with a great summer read.
One of the family favorites is Harbour Fest in Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina. Harbour Fest is an all summer long celebration with fireworks, spinning hats, carnival games, face painting, music and much, much more.
The headliner is our very own Shannon Tanner. He has been entertaining crowds on Hilton Head Island for over 30 years with his unique blend of ’60s standards, sing-a-longs, original ballads and children’s favorites. Children are invited on the stage to perform as well. I have taken my kids and now my grand children to sit on his knee and sing.
Come stroll the harbour, have dinner al fresco in one of the many wonderful eating establishments. Get your face painted and your picture taken with Cappy the Clown.
The festival events begin on Memorial Day weekend and will continue through Labor Day.
Tuesday and Thursday nights will hold a special flair, with fireworks glistening over the water.
