I had a wonderful stay at Xanadu Villa in Hilton Head. It was a great location being a block from the beach and within walking distance to a number of amenities. The gated facility provided for a secure stay and ease of mind. The unit itself was spacious and allowed for visitors without anyone feeling crowded. I would recommend Xanadu Villa as a place to stay in Hilton Head.

Loved this rental! Very clean, well stocked and comfortable. Also, you can’t beat the location! So close to the beach and Coligny. Mark was great to deal with as well.

Had a great time at HHI. There are a few things in the unit that need to be fixed. We had issues with the AC not cooling but the company came and fixed it right away. The sliding back door handle broke last year and again this year. We notified the company that it needed to be replaced. The door is very difficult to open and close. Other wise had a great stay.

Condo stay was great! Plenty of room for the family and a walk across the street from the beach. Not a bad walk to Coligny either. Place was in pretty good shape, couple of little cosmetic things but nothing that would make you not want to stay again. Floors could use a good cleaning and the back sliding patio door probably should be replaced, but overall had a great time. Laundry and garbage rooms are conveniently right outside your door making it nice and easy to clean up on your way out. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful location. Lots of room to move about. We had 8 people in the condo and never ran into one another. Having 3 bathrooms was a huge plus with having kids. We did a lot of cooking and there was plenty of pots and pans. Only complaint was the vents needed to be cleaned there were a few other areas that needed cleaned. The back porch door would not lock and we had to use a stick to put in the door. Overall great place. We would come back again

Great location at an economical price. About 3/4 mile to shopping (includes a Piggly Wiggly grocery) & restaurants at Coligny Plaza. About half that distance to the beach via public access pathway (with Xanadu at your back, cross South Forest Beach Drive, dogleg to your left & walk down a narrow, paved walkway – small sign indicates “public access”). Bike paths are separate from & parallel to roadways making it safe to travel by bicycle or to take a nice stroll. Unit itself could use some maintenance & a deep cleaning, maybe even replace some things, but the price was right. (No issues with surface cleanliness, but upholstery has stains, floor tile grout needs refreshing, bedding is faded, ...) Comfortable beds. Bedroom with queen is en suite with walk in shower. Tub/shower combo is shared by bedroom with king & bedroom with two twin beds. Third “powder room” is generously proportioned. No stairs or steps involved in accessing the unit; not ADA compliant (for example, lacks hand rails in the bath), but I think you could make this work if one of your party has mobility challenges. Kitchen has full sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, coffee pot (8-12 cup size, bowl-shaped filters), toaster, & a blender. Plenty of cookware, dishes, & utensils, but bring your own kitchen shears & seasonings (including salt & pepper). More than ample supplies were provided (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, bar soap, dishwasher detergent, etc.). Iron, ironing board & a few hangers were provided, but no hair dryer. Sliding doors open to a back patio that is very enjoyable, weather permitting. Wi-fi access & several TV sets made “chilling” at the condo relaxing. An assortment of beach toys is in the entryway closet. Parking at the unit is limited to two vehicles, but we were given three sets of keys. Gates to property & entrance to building are accessed by a key fob – these run $75 or more (each) to replace, so plan to keep track of them. I recommend this place; 4 out of 5 stars.

It was a pleasure and place was really nice. Management was great too.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. The check in was very quick. Paper work was on the counter waiting on me. I paid in full and a receipt was given. The whole process took about 6 minutes. As I left they told me to have a great time and if we needed anything call them immediately. The condo was nice and spacious. Upon leaving the staff greeted me as I enter and checkout was less then 2 minutes. I will recommend this company to family and friends.

It was overall good. Though property was damaged a bit and broken floor tiles were a bit concern for the kids.
Giving a 4 due to the broken tiles which would have been inspected and should have been made known to us, This could have been a safety issue and cut our kids feet. Otherwise a good place to stay in Hilton Head.

We went down for my husbands birthday with some friends and had a great time. The condo was neat, clean and well taken care of. We would most defiantly go back again. The staff at vacation rentals were the most polite and helpful people to deal with. Thanks again for the great weekend!

My family of six thoroughly enjoyed staying at Xanadu. The condo was clean, comfortable and spacious, even with my four "tweens". The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles in the moat. This was our first trip to Hilton Head, and I'm sure we will be returning every chance we get.

Beautiful place for a weekend away for a great price! Close to everything and a very short walk to the beach! I will definitely be back again for my next vacation!

Very happy with the unit which is in great shape and has a very nice layout with 3 big bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The property is close to the beach and has everything you need: pool, tennis courts, barbecue pits and a turtle filled moat around the building.

We have always stayed at Xanadu every year as kids on vacation. When we decided to get together as adults (a family reunion) Xanadu was my first pick!!!! My family and my brother's family stayed here for a week and it was just like old times. This condo was very clean and was a great location for everything! We have already been talking about renting the same condo next year!

Very nice and spacious villa. Everybody had room to move around. The beach was a short walk from the villa. The walk is acceptable for kids 5 and up. It would be a little long for younger kids. The beach is not crowded. The pool is very small but very nice and clean. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Would stay there again.

Easy Check in and out. Clean and proper, but missing a hairdryer

This 3 BR, 2-1/2 bath unit was the perfect size for the 6 of us (3 generations), here to celebrate spring break/Easter with each other! It was well furnished, clean, and nicely located. What we liked about the area were the nice variety and reasonably-priced restaurants within walking distance, a broad, clean, beach nearby that's quite shallow, making it easier for smaller children to wander a ways out into the water. The condo is in a beautiful setting, with a "moat" surrounding the buildings, and the fountains and pond add a serene touch. Our one "downer" was that access to the beach from the condo was across a very busy street, and we wished that there had been some type of pedestrian bridge, tunnel, or traffic lights to make crossing the street less dangerous--especially with small children present.

Overall experience was fine and the price made it a great value. The management company was able to accommodate my request to come in 2 days early and stay one extra night. They did that with no hassles.
As a former owner in HHI I know the value of catching maintenance issues early. I left them with a list of 3 things that needed attention and they seemed like they would take care of them.
I wasn't particularly a fan of the security around the property. I guess the parking lot is needed to keep hotel patrons from parking there. The walk through gate was a hassle considering you need a key fob to get in the building anyway.
If you like security this is your place. If you like easy access this in not your place.

Condo was just a short walk to the beach and the grounds were very well kept. The pool was nice and even got some shade during the day, which was nice when we needed a break from the sun. The only problem we had was a guy named Tom who accosted us when we made a wrong turn in parking lot while looking for the office. I started out our conversation with, "I am lost, can you help?" He was still very rude and I appreciate security, but I had pulled out of the lot when I talked to him, so I had obviously made a wrong turn.

Beautiful condo! Very spacious, clean and accommodating. Would recommend this to everyone. Enough space with 3 adults and 3 children.
- Becky M. from Martins Ferry, Posted: 07/21/2014
We have 5 children so space was important to us. This rental was big and spacious, although the kitchen was tiny and it was well decorated. However bring your own cleaning supplies and paper ware because there is nothing provided beyond Kleenex and toliet paper. Everything was clean and it is very close to the pool. The laundry is next store so it was convenient but the dryer does not work. You do have to cross the parking lot, street and use a public access to get to the beach but it wasn't too bad. Very close to great food and some shopping.

The condo is very nice and spacious yet also has nice privacy for each bedroom. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was very nice and clean. The only area that could use an upgrade in our opinion is the plumbing fixtures, such as faucets and shower heads in the bathrooms and the addition of a sprayer in the kitchen sink. The faucets look bad and the faucet head in the bathroom in the hall kept coming off in your hand. When we arrived, there was a rather unpleasant odor in the hall and was noticeable several other times during the week. Otherwise, all was very nice.
